Chimay Tappo Rosso is a dark beer, with a beautiful copper color, refermented in the bottle; the foam is persistent, abundant and creamy, made up of rather large bubbles. The aroma is initially spicy, then tending towards malt and fruity. The taste is silky, accompanied by a light touch of bitterness. Full-bodied, slightly fizzy and balanced beer. Soft and fairly persistent aftertaste. When drinking, the beer should be poured slowly: the sediment that forms at the bottom must not end up in the glass to prevent the yeast from taking over the taste. In its 75cl version it is also called "Première".
